Here is some news of the future of Mastrick Parish Church
“The Basis of Union was sent to every member of Mastrick, Northfield and Summerhill congregations using the Protocol as agreed by the General Assembly of October 2020. No member took up the opportunity to ask questions regarding the Basis of Union. Ballot Papers were distributed by post to all members and adherents and the deadline for returns was January 6th 2020. The Presbytery Clerk counted the Ballot Papers and the following votes were cast for each congregation for and against the Basis of Union: Mastrick Parish Church – For: 92, Against: 6 Northfield Parish Church – For: 45, Against: 7 Summerhill Parish Church – For: 16, Against: 25 Presbytery will vote for or against the Basis of Union on the 19 January, 2021. It does not require approval from the Faith Nurture Forum and so, if approved, the congregations can proceed to unite on February 1st 2021”.
Sunday 20 December
Sadly we have taken the decision to suspend our Sunday church services during the current COVID situation. Tier 4 restrictions do allow services to take place with no more than 20 attendees but in making this decision we are considering the well-being of our members who may be vulnerable, particularly given the warnings of a new strain of the virus. We will continue to post a weekly video message on FB , YouTube and here on our website. We look forward to seeing you again when we can meet together safely.
Thank you for visiting Mastrick Parish Church’s website!
Welcome to our website. My name is Susan Sutherland and I am the minister at Mastrick Parish Church. We see ourselves as a church that is here for everyone in the local community and it is important to us that everybody is given a warm welcome and made to feel at home.
Our main activity is of course, our worship and we meet together every Sunday morning at 11.00 am to worship God. If you haven’t been to church in a while, then why not come and join us?
Our ‘Pop up Café’ is on the last Thursday of each month from 1.00 -2.30 pm when we welcome pre-school age children with their parent/carers to meet gather together for a play session.
Please come back and visit our webpage again soon. You can find out more about us on Facebook.
